Associated General Contractors Name New Executive Director 
Veteran Marketing, PR Pro Takes Reins at AGC

, President of the Board of Directors of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) has announced that veteran public relations professional, Larry Trejo, has been named the new Executive Director of the association’s El Paso Chapter. He is a native El Pasoan, UTEP graduate and son of a former El Paso general contractor and homebuilder.
 Anderson said Trejo’s primary responsibilities will be membership growth and development and representing AGC member’s interests with the City, County, school boards, Ft. Bliss and others.  “We are facing unprecedented growth in commercial construction in El Paso. Trejo and AGC will play a key role in insuring our members are represented in that growth,” said Anderson, 

Trejo previously owned Larry Trejo & Associates, which did extensive work for AsarcoEl Paso ElectricSouthern Union GasEl Paso Central Appraisal DistrictUTEP and others. He also has worked in both the public and private sector, including as Executive Director at the Ysleta ISD and as a Director at El Paso Electric. Trejo is also a Graduate Realtor with Century 21 Clark Brothers. A former news broadcaster and reporter on local TV, Trejo is known for his expertise in crisis communications and crisis management. His wife Gloria is a former EPISD teacher and his daughter majors in education at the University of Texas at El Paso.  Trejo replaces Joe Gomez who resigned to pursue other interests.
